Save it Forward
Financial Literacy
The Save It Forward project’s mission is to provide low-income families with the skills and knowledge necessary to expand their financial independence. By utilizing their own resources they can be empowered to contribute to their own well-being.
The value in becoming financially independent is that it allows women to feel empowered, in control, and proud of their achievements. Most importantly, it gives a woman the freedom to choose what she wants with her own money while maintaining a long-term plan.
The Save it Forward program will utilize seminars to educate single mothers on how to increase disposable income, while making sustainable decisions for both their future and their family’s well-being. Students will work alongside participants to provide personalized budgeting recommendations and implementation strategies.
